Chapel tonight.

Okay, so tonight we had a communion chapel.. they're always really good. while there, i got to thinking about my spiritual life.. lately i've been doing a terrible job at doing the things i need to, and that got me thinking about all the kids i've had as campers.. it got me thinking.. and i can think of like, 5 cases just recently (via the internet) where campers have come to me with things. I've given them advice and passages that would help them with their problems. while examining myself in these situations, i'm thinking holy crap.. do as i say not as i do. cause looking at myself (over this past week especially) i've been a wretched example to what a Christian should be. Those kids deserve the best and come to me for help, but when i need help i just shrug it off and try and go it alone. bah, who am I???

Book update! page 6 of the prologue.. i really need to get that finished huh.. :S.

Yup, book's coming along now. i have the outline for the prologue and the first three chapters done, yaay. i'd do more outlining but i'm really sick of it, i'll probably write the prologue and see where i'll take it from there. since i'm not entirely sure what direction i'm going yet, 'serious' or humorous. if you have a vote, serious or humorous, i'd like to hear it. i'll end up doing what i want to be honest. but there's always chance it could sway me : P : )

Another Book...

Yup!, i'm writing again.. another book. this time i hopefully wont lose it to a computer crash.. i'm still a bit sad over the last one.. i put a solid amount of time into that one just to get the first 2 chapters how i wanted, now i have to start over.. but oh well, this one will be better. Much more entertaining to read AND to write. yup.. it's gonna be good, more to come later.

Well, it's the first solid snow of the year. i'm okay with it don't get me wrong, but it knocked out the power earlier.. so annoying.. but it's back up so yay. i like snow. if you don't,, get out of minnesota and stop complaining.

Yeah, i dont ever use it for my own page or anything like that, i think fb is better for that ,,, but band pages, yeah, those are good, free music! so at least they have that going for them right?

4 string half down, 5 string on the way!

You may be wondering, what is he talking about, "4 string half down 5 string on the way". well i'll tell ya what i'm talkin' about.  i'm talkin' about the coolest guitar thing ever.. well maybe not the coolest, but one of the coolest. Sweep picking. that's right, sweep picking, i have legitimately gotten the basic shape for 4 string sweeps down, and am now starting on 5 string sweeps in a variety of fingering shapes. yes. this is exciting news! *thumbs up*

Chatroulette

So, last semester chatroulette was a big deal, then it kind of got screwy when they changed the formatting for the site and it went downhill, but you'll all be glad to hear that it's back to normal! (almost) it's pretty close to waht it used to be anyway. so countless hours of fun here we all come.

Bah

Roomie backed out on me, i'm pretty sure i'm not getting the housekeeping job, and i realized i'm out of shampoo/body wash. One blow after another.. on the brighter side, i got to talk with Genna and my parents gave me a bunch of food. Tomorrows schedule: Guitar, maybe some food, guitar, maybe some tv, guitar, maybe a nap, guitar, maybe some food again, guitar, maybe more tv, guitar. yup, shaping up to be quite the eventful day.

Something To Believe In

Brad Jorde, Something to believe in. go listen to it. hilarious and really good. gotta love it. Also, things are finally starting to move, life wise that is. looking at places to move after school, looking for jobs, preferably childcare positions. yup.. things are falling into place slowly but surely. Praise Jesus

last night

So, as i said, i was going to go to valleyscare, which i did. it was pretty darn great. to be brutally honest though, i was slightly disappointed with the group i was with. everyone was willing to do the rides, sure,, but thats only half of the valleyscare experience! The haunted houses are totally where it's at. Almost everyone did the clown one, which i can appreciate.. but that was ONE out of five. Since i'm already being honest.. rides aren't even half of the experience, because they aren't all open. If you wanted to go for the rides, go during the normal season when it's warm and sunny and you can ride ALL of them. Why go if you're just going to complain about it being, too cold or that some aren't open. Admittedly i was sad and complained that renegade wasn't open, but i got over it and wanted to do other things. It's called valleySCARE for a reason. Haunted houses. That was a large part of the reason i wanted to go. Yes i got to do them all, but it's way more fun when everyone participates. In the end it was still a fantastic evening with some of my closer friends. I just hope they had as much fun as i did.
