I

Nightly we look to the stars with much hope
Pulling away from the everyday life
As we are pushed deeper down the slope
Crying for relief, oh the strife

The love that abounds within my weariness
Darkness envelops all of my thoughts
The dishonesty to everyone but the third
It can never happen, the space

Excitement in tones and inflection
Like pillars of smoke
An infinitesimal amount of time
Lost in the ages of men

Isolation, cognitive processes
Like the petals of lilies weaken
Floods bring renewal and hope in abundance
Only to crush the optimistic

What i would do for one glimpse
A fleeting moment of hope like fire
Passion fills both hearts but only for
Pain, sorrow, fear and regret

Stationary and at nothing again
The orbs spin violently about
The board has decided upon
With the outcome lies end results

Sitting in fullness waiting
Impending failure starts to flourish
Beads of sweat congeal in masses
This is the end of the old ways

Sitting in the loud room conversing
Thoughts being tossed about back and forth
We wait for the last to arrive
The destination awaits our still beating hearts

The hearts of many join to make one
Trying with much passion to heal
The sick come and gather in masses to thrive

Fiery manes burning in the wind
Like a mother protects her born
Help will always come
It can be late, but it always arrives

Sitting on the swings and in the field
Remembering the final hours
Unsure of what is to come
We are earnest and true
