One step forward, two steps back

I'd say something cliche like, Story of my life right there in the title, but that's not really true. So i won't. Nope, all i'm gonna say is, 20 minutes ago, i was sitting in my car, i had the GPS on and i had a friend on the other line, saying they were ready for me to come pick them up and just go to Oregon. When i asked for the address, there was just nervous laughter, when i said i was in my car and they didn't believe me, i started it up to prove it. Apparently just going or, being serious about it, is something people take as a joke. Now this sounds like i'm bashing my friend, but that's not what i want this to be about, cause i don't mean that at all. Seriously though, why can't people just go.
